A medieval village overlooking the modern seafront of Cagnes-sur-Mer directly below, a striking contrast between old stone and coastal concrete.

The Château-Musée Grimaldi, with its Renaissance courtyard and trompe-l'œil ceiling, overlooks steeply sloping lanes where Renoir painted his last canvases. The painter's house-studio, Les Collettes, is a few minutes' walk downhill.
