Peille, a hinterland village
An authentic village in the Nice hinterland, less visited than its neighbour Peillon, with a tangle of vaulted lanes and covered passageways.
Its tiny squares and old fountains tell the story of a village that has changed little since the Middle Ages, without the coast's tourist crowds. The surrounding terraced slopes and olive groves are well suited to a quiet hike.
